P I N K  F L O Y D TRIBUTE ALBUM
SHARK has contributed a track to a new Pink Floyd tribute album.  A Fair Forgery of Pink Floyd, is an epic double CD featuring 30 interpretations of Pink Floyd  gems including: Brit rock legend Graham Parker, LA band Quetzal, former Zappa guitarist Mike Keneally, Sally Semrad, Becca and Pierre de Beauport (performed and recorded with The Rolling Stones), Dave Chapple (bassist from Baby Lemonade and Love) and many more.

The CD includes songs from every era of Pink Floyd.  Beginning with Syd Barrett's original "Pink Floyd Sound", onto the classic period of Roger Waters and finally into the David Gilmour era.

Shark 'N The Smoke's track is an epic 7min version of “High Hopes” from Pink Floyd's Division Bell album.  The middle section includes a battle scene culled from several 1960's sound effect records.  Including a recording of Big Ben from 1968.

As heard on KCRW Nic Harcourt's show Morning Becomes Eclectic in Los Angeles.

The reviews are coming in...

Conveniently split into side US and side THEM - the album is peppered with surprise renditions...

Big Ben's chimes (appropriately) kick off a very effective High Hopes by Shark N’ The Smoke, a great start to the second disc.

Well worth investigating, as this album shows how good songs to begin with, can be very successfully attempted in different styles. Why not give it a try?

- Brain Damage.co.uk

I'm usually not a fan of tribute albums... Well surprisingly (very) I like this album a lot. Most of the songs are quite different from the originals, but not so much to lose the "Pink Floyd" spirit...

"A Fair Forgery of Pink Floyd" is a must have for any Pink Floyd fan. It's much better than any other Pink Floyd tribute album I have listened to. If you feel like listening to some Pink Floyd but are a little tired of putting the same albums in the CD player, A Fair Forgery of Pink Floyd will give you hours and hours of pleasure.
